Wyoming Primary Schools prides itself on educating the whole child and on creating an environment where children are engaged, respectful and responsible. The Primary Positive Behaviors Program reinforces school expectations for kindergarten through fourth grade students at Elm, Hilltop and Vermont Schools:
- Be Respectful
- Be Responsible
- Be Safe
The “Caring Cowboy” helps our youngest students remember to utilize these behaviors in the classroom, hallway, playground, cafeteria, restrooms, during line-up, and while riding the school bus. Students can earn recognition stickers when they are “caught being a caring cowboy,” carrying out these expectations in public. “Caring Cowboys” are entered into daily drawings for prizes. Additionally, classrooms can be caught meeting school expectations and earn privileges to join in special theme days, ranging from crazy hat day to tie day to pajama day!
